Saul Bass was born in 1920 and passed away in 1996. He was an American graphic designer and an
Academy Award winning filmmaker. He
began his Hollywood journey in the 40’s .
He designed print advertisements for movies such as: The Shining,
Vertogo, Champion (1949), Death of a Salesman (1951). He’s created some iconic logos. He designed the Bell System, the AT&T
logo, Continental airlines jet stream logo, Unite Airlines tulip logo, Boys and
girls club (1978) Dixie (1969), Girls scouts (1972) and much more. Bass when to a high school in the Bronx. He attended the Arts students league in
Manhattan part time. In 1938 he married
Ruth Cooper and had two children.
