Pilar Zita is a young Argentinian graphic designer, fashion
designer and artist born in Buenos Aries in June, 1986. Her father would take her to museums at an
early age which played a part in her creativity and inspired her to replicate
what she saw there. In addition, she was
influenced by the artwork in her brother’s album collection which included Led Zeppelin
and Pink Floyd. She moved to Miami at
the age of 19 and began working on artwork for the electric dance music
community. Zita eventually moved to
Germany for several years to work on her art and fashion design. She eventually moved back to the United States,
settling in Los Angeles. One claim to
fame is her design work for on the musical group, Coldplay’s album cover for A Head Full of Dreams.
I love the use of colors in her work. The Coldplay album cover shows a more prominant use of contrast with the black background and vibrant colors. She also uses the muted, more sublte colors like in the second image but throws in pops of color to make certan images standout.

Good observation about her use of color... clarity is also achieved by her simple, stark compositions.
