Class begins Monday, March 18th and runs 8 weeks until May 11th.  The main thing to do this week is to get all of the systems up and running.

-Read through the class syllabus linked from the list of links in the upper right of the blog.

-Post a bio and hello to this blog.  Include a statement of what you hope to learn in this class.

-Secure a copy of Photoshop   Any version after Photoshop CS will do, and that goes back a long way.  You can work at school on any publicly available computer in the Library or in any of  the computer labs... they all have Photoshop loaded.  You can rent the latest version for $9.99/month from Adobe.com/downloads.  A free version of CS2 is available at Adobe.com but only works on Windows machines...(You need an older Mac to make that run).

By the end of Week 1, I want you to:

-Post a 1 paragraph review of a graphic design artist found from the list "Master List of Graphic Designers to write about each week..  Include an image from their work.  This will count as 1 attendance record and your Bio will count as the other for the first week.  After that, your creative work that you'll post will count toward attendance.  There are two attendance records generated each week.

-Watch some of the videos on how to use Photoshop, posted in the syllabus.

-Let me know if you have any concerns or if you don't know how to do something.  There is a video on how to post to this blog in the list of class links in the upper right hand corner where other important links are located.

-Getting off the ground this week is very important!  The class goes by quickly.  Any delay in learning to blog, installing your software, etc will set you back quite a bit.  There are thousands of tutorials on YouTube on Photoshop as well as the videos I have made for you, linked from the syllabus.

Looking forward to getting this class launched!
